Tutorial: using Udemy as a skills development platform

Udemy is an educational technology company that provides an online teaching and learning platform. It was founded in 2010 by Oktay Caglar, Gagan Biyani, and Eren Bali, and its current CEO is Greg Coccari. The company’s headquarters are in San Francisco, California. The platform provides access to a wide range of courses ranging from leadership development courses to high-level programming courses, software development, UI/UX design courses, and so on.

With courses that are as low as $12.99 being offered on the platform, it has quite a number of users all over the world. Companies like Addidas, Barclays, Lyft, and Bloomingdales, among others, have used the platform to train their employees. Although some users say that the certification obtained from some of the programs is not highly recognized by some employers, the certificates are still very useful and could serve as proof that you are skilled enough to perform certain tasks.

Udemy, like Coursera, is a useful platform to help you advance your career by acquiring more knowledge.
