On Tuesday, September 12, President Joe Bertolino hosted a meet-and-greet ice cream social for the students, faculty, and staff of both the Stockton Galloway and Atlantic City campuses. This was one of the first of many events since Bertolino’s appointment as Stockton’s president in March of 2023. The event took place in the D-F classroom wing plaza across from the Campus Center food court.

The options provided consisted of ice cream flavors between chocolate and vanilla, which were served with sprinkles, cherries, and Hershey’s chocolate syrup as toppings. Rita’s Italian Ices were also served. There was a live DJ playing music at the event as well.

In a brief interview with Bertolino at the event, he stated it was “Great to be at Stockton.”

“I love being a new Osprey here on campus. I am excited to host this year’s ice cream social.  It’s a beautiful day and a great opportunity to spend time with and meet our students, ” said Bertolino.

He also hopes to have more opportunities like the ice cream social on campus during his time as president. According to Bertolino, events like this social have always been great ways to help people in the Stockton community connect, whether it’s old friends seeing each other again or new friends meeting for the first time.
