Josie Kelly’s Pubhouse transports students back to the old country

Josie Kelly’s Public House, a pub inspired by coastal west Ireland, in Somers Point, a 20-minute drive from Stockton, offers traditional Irish fare and drinks. They are also conveniently located by Ocean City allowing their patrons to spend the day at the beach and boardwalk and then enjoy new twists on burgers and cocktails.

They offer ten appetizers and starters for the table to share (or just for yourself) ranging from fresh local oysters or even Spanish tortillas. It is worth trying the sausage rolls that are wrapped in puff pastry with caramelized onions and cheddar paired with lavender honey mustard. If that is not your style and you always are craving carbs, try the Potato Croquettes with whipped feta, tomato, and honey. Regardless of what appetizer, the combination of seasonings and spices offers their own unique experience to every patron.

If attending Josie Kelly’s for Lunch, the variety of options includes sandwiches that are fun twists on classics that are often enjoyed, such as a French Onion Grilled cheese sandwich. But, no worries here if you were visiting Josie Kelly’s to get traditional Irish Food they still offer the same “Traditional Fare” during their lunch hours.

But, at dinner, you get your choice of different sandwiches (not as much variety as lunch) and of signature entrees such as a salmon or rich creamy pasta dish. Regardless of what time or when you visit Josie Kelly’s, you have a variety of options to choose from and enjoy. And, they are definitely one of the spots in town where everyone likes to enjoy their drinks and watch whatever game is on. But, if you are not a sports fan they offer live music most weekend nights appealing to crowds of all different interests.

But, just be careful with parking. It is always busy!
