Internship Hiring Fair brings opportunities to Stockton students

The Virtual Internship Hiring Fair took place on Thursday morning, featuring dozens of local and national employers searching for qualified Stockton students.

Representatives were present from 28 total companies, including Walmart, Marriott Vacations Worldwide, Enterprise Holdings, Chick-Fil-A, Simon & Schuster, and more. Students were able to sign up to meet with representatives one on one or in a group setting.

The event was hosted by Career Education and Development and took place via Handshake.

According to Career Education and Development, more than 300 one to one virtual session times and 35 group session times were available to students.

“Virtual hiring fairs are a great way to get a leg up with participating employers seeking to hire Stockton students and with employers who interest you,” according to Career Education and Development.

If you missed this hiring fair, don’t worry. There are more opportunities to meet with potential employers this semester, including the next Virtual Hiring Career Fair on Thursday, March 3. This event will also take place via Handshake. In preparation for the hiring fair, register for sessions you might be interested in beforehand and plan out your schedule for the day.

“Internship hiring fairs are a great way to share what you have to offer an employer that goes beyond just reading a resume. Making a good impression helps to establish a relationship with the organization and sets up a student for success down the road,” said Dayna DeFiore of Career Education and Development.

Students can also reach out to their career advisor by email or by scheduling an appointment on http://www.stockton.edu/careerappointment to discuss their plans.
