On October 11, 2022, Stockton University played longtime rival Kean University at home. The Ospreys came into the game and placed third in the NJAC under Rowan in first place and Kean in second place. This game would determine the Osprey’s overall placement in the NJAC tournament.

The two competitors fought for every point, raising the intensity of the game. In the first set, it was not clear who would be the winner. At one point, the game was tied (8-8) then (17-17), and finally (19-19). Kean mustered enough plays to steal the set, ending it (25-23); however, the Ospreys did not falter there. They managed to get the best of five sets winning three of the four sets played (25-20, 25-17, 25-18).
