Stockton holds 2022 Career and Internship Fair

Over 200 Stockton students and alumni gathered at the Sports center on October 13, 2022, between 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. to meet with 132 employers from different industries like education, criminal justice, marine science, gaming, hospitality, information technology, health, and youth development for the Career and Internship Fair.

Some of the organizations that were tabled at the Career and Internship Fair were ACENDA Integrated Health, Bayada Home Health Care, Bloomberg, Murray & Becker, NJ Transit, RPM Engineering, Sherwin Williams, Stafford Police, and Stockton’s Office of Graduate Admissions. At about 9:00 a.m., employers began arriving at the sports center to get prepared for the fair by decorating their tables with their organization’s merchandise. They were treated to breakfast before the fair started at 10:00 a.m.

Most of the students and alumni that were present at the fair were dressed in business formal or casual attire. Dr. Ashlee Roberts, Acting Director of Career Education and Development, was present to coordinate the event and ensure its smooth execution. At different intervals, Roberts was seen with different students encouraging them to ask employers questions and to secure opportunities that could aid their professional growth.

The Vice President for Student Affairs, Dr. Christopher Catching, also stopped by the fair to show his support for the career advancement of Stockton’s students and alumni. Dr. Catching expressed his appreciation to the employers for attending the fair and assured them that Stockton had the kind of employees that they were looking for.

Also at the event from the Career Education and Development Office were assistant directors Netesha Peterson, Patrick Burns, and Dayna DeFiore as well as Dr. Brette Pulliam, the Executive Director of Educational Opportunity and Success Programs, and Jhanna Jean-Louis, Director of Student Affairs, Finance, Administration and Operations.
