As hurricane Ian travelled North this past weekend, Galloway was hit with heavy rain showers. The weather cleared up just in time for the Men’s Soccer game against Salisbury this past Wednesday.
Despite the wet conditions, the Osprey defense worked together, preventing Salisbury from scoring a goal all game. Fans thought they were headed for overtime, but with 7 minutes left in the game, Joseph Carbone (#15) made a long pass over to Brendan Deal (#20), who sent a great ball over to the blind side just in time for Adien Hoenisch (#7) to score with a header.
Salisbury continued to apply pressure on their end and limit Stockton to 1 goal, but they fell short of scoring their own. The lead remained and Stockton added another win to their record. The players will be back home playing William Paterson Oct. 8 at 1pm.
