For The Argo by Matthew Giannuario
The Gaming Club’s game nights are held weekly in the upper Campus Center from 7p.m. to 11p.m. on Wednesdays and Fridays. Each week there are tons of people to meet with, socialize, and have fun with. There is a large selection of game types and genres to choose from such as card games, board games, video games, and even giant life-sized versions of old classics such as Connect Four or Jenga. Among the club’s library of video games are party games, fighting games, racing games, action games, and many more. If you’re curious to learn more about the club before you join, you can join the Discord channel under the name Stockton_Gaming_Club to chat with dozens of other people online before showing up in person. Students can also check out the Gaming Club’s web page over at Osprey Hub for a small summary about the club and a list of any upcoming events the club may be holding.
We even have a multitude of special events taking place some weeks, such as the special Smash Ultimate 3v3 Tournament event held last Wednesday from 7p.m. to 11p.m. at night. Smash Ultimate is a fighting game that allows two teams of three players to face off against each other in flashy and epic fights featuring classic video game characters from dozens of franchises. During the event, many teams end up competing with each other until only one group of winners are left standing and the top three are given gift card prizes for skill and teamwork. So, if thrilling competitions like this one with prizes and amazing people to meet interests you, then come visit the game nights to join in on the fun.
