During her sophomore year at Stockton, senior Gabby Bibus faced one of her toughest challenges to date: coming out as asexual. Although Stockton’s campus is generally seen as open and accepting of LGBTQ+ students, many of her peers did not understand her asexuality.
In the year 2020, many Stockton students have faced unprecedented challenges. Some of these issues disproportionately affect LGBTQ+ students, from the looming threat of the coronavirus pandemic, to the lack of social interaction with other Queer students, to anxiety over the current political climate. Now, Stockton’s Queer students are speaking out about the highs and lows of being an LGBTQ+ student in 2020.

The pandemic has created challenges for many businesses, including the Stockton University bookstore. Specifically, shipping vendors (FedEx, UPS, USPS) were challenged with delays in the face of COVID-19, as there was an extreme increase in online customer purchases. Also, course materials experienced a delay, as publisher warehouse staff also declined.

Dr. Kazi has been a professor at Stockton for 14 years, teaching topics from anthropology, sociology, to American and Africana studies.
Observed on the anniversary of ending World War I, Veterans Day celebrates all the men and women who donned the US Military uniform. Stockton University, well-known for its affinity towards the veteran community, always takes part in the festivities.
