Stockton University’s 2023 commencement ceremonies will take place Friday, May 12, in the famed Jim Whelan Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City. The iconic facility seats more than 10,000 guests and has been the site of untold numbers of celebrity concerts, performances, and shows. The University has been holding its commencement at Jim Whelan Boardwalk Hall since 2017 and moved to a two-ceremony format last year so all degree-level students could participate.

Stockton’s mascot Talon usually makes an appearance, and food venues are plentiful, making it a great experience for families and guests. Since the facility is so large, the viewing of graduates is enhanced by the use of dual, 30-foot TV screens. This year’s ceremonies, which will begin at 10:00 a.m. and 2:30 p.m., will include graduates from summer and fall 2022, as well as spring 2023. Doors open 90 minutes prior to each ceremony.
Student speakers will be part of the ceremonies and each graduate’s name and major will be posted on the screen as they cross the stage and shake hands with their dean. Stockton’s Alumni Association provides each graduate with a parting gift during the outside “meet and greet” after each ceremony. Please check out the website at Stockton.edu/commencement for all the details. Stockton salutes all of our graduates and wishes them the best as they reach this important milestone in their lives. Go Ospreys!
