On Thursday, November 17th, 2022, the Gamma Alpha Chapter of Chi Upsilon Sigma (Corazones Unidos Siempre/Hearts United Forever) held a relaxing Game Night for their members and Potential New Members. The sisters of the National Latina sorority brought board and card games like Uno, Jenga, Sorry, PayDay, and Incohearent. This was the last event of the sorority’s Week of Wisdom, held every semester, which allows the sisters to educate students and interact with the student body.

The sisters and guests were able to connect with each other and have fun with the games, eating free pizza, and listening to iconic Latino pop songs that made everyone instinctively dance to the beat in their seats. It was a great way to close off the cold Thursday night and momentarily relieve the stress of school, as well as get to know the sorority sisters and make new friends.
Daniela Puerta, the chapter’s Area Expansion officer, commented on the Meet the Sisters event they had the same day, stating, “We had a lot of alumni sisters come and support our chapter, and it was a good turnout to meet students, as well as sisters to bond and make memories together.”
A recent May 2022 graduate, Diana Leon, a Health Science major, was the Vice President of CUS before graduating. “I’m really happy that I got to be here at this event so that I could follow my sisters and meet new students! I hope we have more events like this so that we can reach the Stockton community,” Leon commented.
Chi Upsilon Sigma’s next event, their New Member Presentation, will take place at the Housing 5 Basketball Courts on Monday, November 21st, at 8:00 PM. Warm winter attire is highly recommended since the event will be outdoors.
