Stockton University men’s basketball team defeated William Paterson University with a score of 89-81 at the Sports Center on the main Galloway campus on February 5 which brings the team record to 17-4.
Stockton turned things around from their recent loss against The College of New Jersey, and appears to be operating on all cylinders. “I feel like we are peaking in a lot of ways. I just hope we keep trending in that direction!” Head Coach Scott Bittner said.
Although Stockton does stand at the top of the NJAC leaderboard, it does not mean that William Paterson did not offer up some challenges.“They play four or five guards at all times and those are tough teams to defend.” Bittner said. However, the head coach is still very confident in his team. “Our goal going into every game is to simply play harder than the other team. That seems easy but I feel as if the team that plays hardest wins 99% of the games in our league.”
