Stockton University welcomes students, faculty, and staff to join “World Language Tables” on Thursdays from October 8 until December 3 from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. online via Zoom.
Attending this event is an excellent way for anyone who wants to learn, practice, or polish any world language skills. Understanding and knowing a second language can be challenging but speaking another language provides a new way to connect with others, communicate, and be more open to other cultures.
The five language skills are listening, speaking, reading, and writing—and if you feel like you need a little help in one of these areas—attending this Zoom event can help you. Learning another language can also help in work-related areas, internships, fellowships, or studying abroad.
“It is really fun to connect with Stockton students and students in other countries and to learn and share our languages and cultures, and to develop global perspectives,” said Jiangyuan (JY) Zhou, Interim Director of Global Engagement and Senior International Officer at Stockton University.
To attend this event, you must register at http://tinyurl.com/y2jjduky and provide your first, last name, and email address. You can also reach the event by navigating to Stockton’s Osprey Hub page. The host of this event is the Office of Global Engagement, and the Zoom meetings will be a student-led activity.
