Ospreys Navigate – Student Success Management Platform

Ospreys Navigate’s pilot was launched in Fall 2024. This program is intended to “aid staff and faculty in efficiently evaluating student needs, referring resources, and closing the loop to ensure students have been connected to their personalized “success network.”

There are different functions and tools for both faculty/staff and students.

Ospreys Navigate allows for faculty/staff to schedule appointments with students, access appointment history, message students in groups or individually, submit and receive alerts for students of concern, access student data and performance tracking.

Students can access Ospreys Navigate to schedule appointments with academic advising, their preceptor, faculty, success coaches, and tutors.

When logged into Ospreys Navigate, students will see many tabs on the left-hand sidebar. Tabs include:

  • Home
  • Appointments
  • Class Schedule
  • Resources
  • People
  • My Docs
  • Notifications
  • Surveys
  • Study Buddies
  • Favorites
  • Help
  • Account
  • Journeys
  • Job Simulations
  • Shuttle Services

Each section has subcategories, such as:

  • Appointments
    • My Appointments
    • My Team
    • History

These allow current and past appointments to be seen as well as those assigned to “your team,” which can include preceptors.

Under the “Resources” tab, there is a subsection to find “People” and “Places.” Within those sections are the contact information for preceptors and current instructors or the locations of specific academic, administrative, or financial aid offices.

Many offices, professors, or advisors will encourage students to use the app/webpage for meetings which can be scheduled under the appointment section; additionally, users are able to receive text and/or email notifications before the appointment.

Ospreys Navigate is anticipated to be a one-stop-shop for students to be connected with professional development opportunities, create meaningful connections with faculty/staff and aid in timely intervention if students are at risk of low grades.
