On Wednesday, March 31, Stockton Entertainment Team (SET) hosted their annual Woodstockton event. Headlining this year was The Driver Era. The Driver Era includes Ross Lynch– best known from his leading roles in Disney Channel’s Austin and Ally and Teen Beach Movie– and his brother Rocky Lynch. The two of them were members of the band R5 with their other siblings and drummer Ellington Ratliff before disbanding and forming what is now The Driver Era.

The show sold over 1,400 tickets and had a line of 1, 200 people forming all around Big Blue, where the concert was held prior to doors opening at 7 P.M. At 8:00, DJ Sashi opened the show and played an engaging and entertaining set to build up the anticipation before the main act.
The Driver Era took the stage for an hour set, featuring tracks off of their newest album Obsession, which was released last year in 2025, along with several other of their hit songs.

Following the performance, members of SET got the opportunity to have a meet and greet with Rocky and Ross before they made their way outside to meet with other students and fans.
Guests were pleased with the performance; student Conor Wasneuski stated, “Woodstockton was an amazing event where I was able to see a big artist from my childhood with friends and have a great time!”

Assistant Director of Student Development and Advisor for SET, Chrissy Easton, stated, “The concert is a major undertaking with many moving parts, and it would be impossible to host such a successful event without amazing students and staff working on the event since the fall semester: members like you. Your time, energy, and willingness to jump in wherever needed played a key role in making the event safe, smooth, and memorable for our students and guests.”
Graduate coordinator, Alexander Eckmeder, who worked the event, added that, “This was just my fourth Woodstockton and it has taught me so much about the industry. Starting back in September is when the conversation starts, we handle everything from the bidding process, contracting the artists and dealing with their rider which is all the random things the artists want on site.”
Eckmeder added, “I sit in on all of the planning meetings with the various campus partners talking about security planning, ticketing, marketing and the logistics of taking over all of Big Blue. We organize the volunteers, work with our middle agent on all of the credentials, emergency planning and specifics for the performance itself. Once the day hits, it’s all day running around with stage crew, meeting the Driver Era team for sound check and making sure our plan runs accordingly. It is honestly just a rush with all the moving pieces that it becomes a blur until it’s all over. It is amazing to watch all of the students get excited and enjoy themselves for all the work that we put in and to meet these artists is just a cherry on top.”
To be a part of next year’s planning process for Woodstockton, SET has weekly meetings every Thursday at 4:30 P.M. More information can be found via their Instagram: @setstockton.
