Visit Atlantic City partners with Stockton on new scholarship initiative for student artists

Non-profit tourism organization Visit Atlantic City has partnered with Stockton University on a new initiative to help aspiring student artists share their work.

The Artist-in-Residence Scholarship Program, newly launched for the Fall 2025 semester, will select one winner to have their artwork displayed in the Atlantic City Convention Center and gifted to convention guests throughout the upcoming year. The winner will also receive a one-time scholarship of $2,500.

Eligible students enrolled at Stockton University who are interested in the program can apply by submitting three pieces of printable artwork—including, but not limited to, photography, paintings, and digital art—that represent what Atlantic City means to them. Artists are encouraged to “dig deep, and find your pride in the city.”

“The idea is to dig deep and fully understand why you’re here,” stated Visit Atlantic City’s Vice President of Sales, Anthony Molino, who came up with the initiative. “What is it about this place that you love, that you could share with somebody else? [] I challenge the artists to use their creativity in a way that makes them feel good about it, and proud.”

Molino developed the scholarship to reinvest in the university and the community by supporting students who aspire to make art their full-time career. Students will benefit from increased exposure and will also have the opportunity to network with local professionals.

The idea aims to contribute to the beautification of the Atlantic City Convention Center, with the long-term vision of building a collection of student art pieces over time. Molino was also inspired by previous efforts of gifting artwork to guests and visiting companies, offering them a chance to take a piece of Atlantic City home.

“I’m proud to have this opportunity to showcase these students. We are always trying to figure out how we can improve our high level of service and ensure our clients come back. I think one of the best ways to do that is to show pride in what we have here. Stockton is a huge part of what Atlantic City and Atlantic County are, so why not showcase it as much as we can?”

The deadline for submissions is December 17, 2025, and the winner will be announced in early January 2026. An unveiling ceremony will follow at the convention center in honor of the winning artist.
