SAVE Earth Day Festival 2025: Local bands, food, and community fun

On April 11, 2025, students and community members celebrated Earth Day at Stockton Action Volunteers for the Environment (SAVE)’s Earth Day Music Festival. The festival featured a line-up of local and student bands, along with food and vendors in the Campus Center.

Partnering with WLFR and SET, the festival offered a variety of entertainment for attendees. The line-up of bands included Tokens, Te Vista, Neanderthals, and Moonroof, who took the stage inside the Campus Center Coffee House throughout the day.

Vendors from local small businesses lined the hallway of the Campus Center, including handmade, sustainable crafts. Vouchers for food trucks, including Greens and Grains, were also available for attendees. SAVE also wrapped the event with a door prize raffle, including a reusable water bottle, flashlight, and other outdoor adventure essentials.

Planning for the event began in February as the SAVE organization reached out to partnered vendors and local bands. Their partnership with WLFR assisted in staging and set up for the bands, and SET assisted with event organization.

The festival, originally set to take place in the TRLC Quad, was moved inside the campus center last minute due to inclement weather, posing last-minute challenges to reorganize event plans. Despite these challenges, students still got the opportunity to enjoy the festival’s offerings and the social environment that is fostered.

“This year’s Earth Day festival was so much fun,” said Brittany Cardenas, a sophomore at Stockton who attended the event. “The rain didn’t stop the amazing performances of the bands, and it was an overall amazing time with friends.”
