Ospreys soar in overtime: Senior Night victory over Rowan
On Senior Night, the Stockton men’s basketball team delivered a dramatic win, overcoming rival Rowan University 104-101 in an exciting overtime thriller. The victory marked the final game of the NJAC regular season, setting the stage for an intense quarter-final rematch against Rowan.
EJ Matthews-Spratley led the charge with an outstanding 28 points, showcasing his skill and leadership when the team needed it most. The night was even more special as the Ospreys honored their seniors—Jamar Johnson, Christian Armstrong-Thomas, and Martin Anguelov—celebrating their contributions and leadership throughout their careers at Stockton.
A few days later, the Ospreys faced Rowan once again in the quarter-finals, pulling off a hard-fought 83-78 win to advance. Senior Night proved to be an unforgettable celebration of Stockton basketball, filled with pride, emotion, and a powerful team effort.
The men face Ramapo in the semi-finals in Mahwah, NJ on Tuesday, February 25 at 7 p.m.

Women’s basketball’s strong effort falls short against Rowan on Senior Night
On Senior Night, the Stockton women’s basketball team honored their seniors, Danielle Jeffreys, and Jade Mendoza, before facing a tough Rowan University squad in the final NJAC regular season game. Despite a standout performance from Grace Speer, who set a new career-high with 34 points, the Ospreys fell just short, losing 61-65 in a hard-fought rivalry battle.
Imene Fathi also contributed significantly, leading the team alongside Speer. Meanwhile, Brooklyn Graham reached a personal milestone, grabbing a career-high 6 rebounds in the game. Although Stockton fought valiantly, Rowan edged out the victory, but the Ospreys’ effort and teamwork were evident throughout the intense matchup.
