On Tuesday, September 17 and Wednesday, September 18, Stockton University hosted the Fall 2024 Get Involved Fair. The fair, which is held every semester featured a number of student organizations, clubs, offices and campus partners among others. Some of the organizations and offices that tabled at the fair are the Stockton Christian Fellowship, Stockton NAACP Chapter, Bridge Beyond, Active Minds club, the Multicultural Center, Office of Student Development, Office of Career and Educational Development, and more.

The representative of Bridge Beyond described the organization as a “service group that tries to bridge resources to homeless people in Atlantic City.” The organization also holds workshops to sensitize students on how to not stigmatize unhoused people in the community while supporting minority groups, as well as partnering with other homeless shelters to support minorities such as LGBTQ+ individuals who experience homelessness. Soon, they plan to host a street medicine and Narcan workshop.
Katirah Barnes of Stockton Christian Fellowship (SCF) said that “SCF is a non-denominational Christian club that helps believers grow their faith while on a college campus.” As for the Active Minds club, Zuzanna Niepostyn said, “We spread mental health awareness on campus and create a safe community for all.”

Academic based clubs like Society of Physics Students also tabled at the fair. Ethan Case, the organization’s President said that “Society of Physics Students is for anyone with interest in physics, to have fun, and hang out.” They also hold physics related events such as RC crash cars for seatbelt awareness month with Commuters on the Go.
Cultural organizations were not left out at the Fair. Lynnsey Raphael, President of Carribean Student Association, said that “members of the club are divided by water but united by culture. Our goal is to educate our members about the several Carribean islands as well as united people from different backgrounds. We host several event and one I want to highlight is our Kompa 101. Come out and learn a Haitian dance.”
The Get Involved Fair was no doubt an opportunity for students to connect with many of the resources on campus and become better integrated into the Stockton experience.
