Submitted to The Argo by Holly Morrell

As college students’ mental well-being becomes increasingly important, the Mental Health Advocacy Club members met for the first time to discuss the initiative of fostering mental health awareness and support within the student
community.

With a commitment to breaking the stigma surrounding mental health, MHA serves as a haven where individuals can find solace, understanding, and resources to navigate the complexities of their emotional and psychological well-being. Tuesday’s meeting highlighted the various activities that the club hopes to draw more students to get involved. Thirteen students attended the meeting. MHA will encourage students to join and do interactive activities to stimulate a
good atmosphere. These activities include movie nights, study sessions, game nights and
wellness workshops.”

At MHA, we’re not just building a support network,” said Holly Morrell, the president of MHA. “We’re cultivating a community where students can find insight, empathy, and the tools they need to prioritize their well-being through the challenges of college life.”

The MHA executive board (E-board) members possess unique skills and perspectives, collectively becoming the organization’s backbone. Their leadership, guidance, and support are instrumental in shaping the future of the organization. Below is the line-up of the E-board members.
