As the Spring 2024 semester officially commenced on Tuesday, January 16, 2024, The Argo had the opportunity to speak with Stockton students on the first day of classes. Amid the cold weather, the faces of members of the University’s community had bright smiles on them as the atmosphere was charged with enthusiasm, anticipation and readiness to commence the new semester.

Victor Chika-Ezeagu, a sophomore majoring in Digital Studies, shared his exhilaration for his upcoming classes: “I am excited to be taking Professor Daniel Lichtman’s Digital Design Thinking class. I took three of his classes last semester and I enjoyed his teaching style.”

Casmir Ezikeoha, a first year and Computer Science major expressed his excitement for his calculus course. “Calculus is important in getting me ready for graduate school and, as a computer science major, my math skills need to be A-starred.”

In the same vein, in the School of Business, Olaitan Sunmola eagerly anticipated Dr. Oliver Cook’s Macroeconomics class. “I find the class interesting because I have heard that it is challenging and I love challenges. Besides, I have always wanted to own my own business and I am confident that this class will help me make that dream come true,” he said with a zealous chuckle.

Another student, who wished to remain anonymous, said that “This is my last semester at Stockton so this semester gives me mixed feelings as I ponder on how close I am to graduating. I am excited about graduating soon but I have connected so much with this community through my friends and teachers and I have many memorable experiences”.

As we get further into the semester, The Argo remains committed to capturing the amazing activities that form a part of student experiences. From the lecture rooms to Dunkin and the events in the Campus Center among others, we will bring the University captivating stories that matter.
