The game started out with both teams trying to find a rhythm. Both teams kept a strong defense when both offensive lines tried to connect passes to cross into the box.

The Scarlet Raptors became the match’s opening scorers in the first 10 minutes of play. Hannah Crowley (#8) shot the ball with her left foot into the top right corner off a cross from Josie Jackson-Conner.

Emily Owens (#3) of the Scarlet Raptors was exceptionally active in the midfield during the first half, helping to create chances and disorient the Ospreys.

For the majority of the second half, the game was at a standstill at 1-0. The Ospreys began firing up and added pressure to the Raptors, downing 11 shots with 7 on net. In the 86th minute, the Ospreys tied the game up 1-1 with a goal by Erica Dietz (#29) when she headed her fifth goal of the season off a cross by Logan Shaw (#9). It was the fourth helper of the year for Shaw, tying her for the team lead.

With just seven seconds left on the clock, the Scarlet Raptors won the game. The opposition took advantage of a weakness in the Osprey defense, and Josie Jackson-Conner scored the game-winning goal to give her team a 2-1 victory.
