Stockton Women’s Volleyball (8-6, 1-0 NJAC) took the victory 3-1 in their first home opener and first NJAC match of the season vs. their rival Rowan University (3-11, 0-2 NJAC). The game started at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 26.

The excitement in the room from the Ospreys was palpable. While Rowan scored the first point of the game, Stockton immediately came back to get a 4-2 lead in the first set.
Both teams played with strong intensity right from the outset, switching places frequently with numerous kills and blocks. Rowan took the first set 25-22. To start the second set, the Ospreys took the lead at 3-0. They impressively had an outstanding turnaround to win the second set 25-13.
By halftime, it was tied 1-1. Kate Louer (#9) had six kills and ten digs. Rileigh Wilson (#15) had five kills. Nicole Palmer (#7) already with 9 kills.
During the third set, the score was close, both teams keeping the crowd on their toes. Nine ties were made in the third set, including one at 24-24, before the Ospreys won due to a Rowan service error and Wilson’s sixth kill of the match, it was crowd-thrilling to watch.

Stockton took the advantage early on (5-1) in the fourth set and maintained it throughout the set to successfully win the set 25-20 and the match 3-1. Palmer spiked a match-high of 18 kills. Wilson ended with a career-high of 13 kills. Louer finished with 9 kills and 17 digs.
All cheers and smiles from all the Ospreys have they took down the Owls. Stockton had a total of 62 kills, 7 aces, and 10 blocks. Rowan totaled 47 kills, 5 aces, and 5 blocks.
