Women’s soccer remains undefeated with gritty draw at Drew Fall Festival

In a tense showdown at the Drew Fall Festival in Madison, NJ, Stockton University’s women’s soccer team (2-0-2) showcased their skills, playing to a hard-fought 0-0 draw against New Paltz (1-2-1). The Ospreys, led by the stunning goalkeeping of Morgan Keil, extended their unbeaten streak in the season. Keil clocked in with an astounding 334 minutes and 30 seconds without conceding a goal, thanks to her four-save effort in the contest.

The game unfolded as a testament to both teams’ defensive skills, with Stockton holding a 5-4 advantage in shots during a tightly contested first half. However, it was New Paltz who came closest to breaking the deadlock in the 29th minute, only to be denied by the crossbar during the scoreless period.

As the match progressed, the Hawks continued to press the Ospreys, with a shot hitting the post just under five minutes into the final period. Despite being outshot 12-1 in the second half, Stockton’s defense remained strong. Morgan Keil, in particular, stood tall, shutting down all three attempts on goal with remarkable composure. Also standing out for the team was freshman Bella Bednarz—bright spark for the Ospreys, contributing two of the team’s six shots during the game.

Stockton will conclude their participation in the Drew Fall Festival with another challenging matchup on Sunday at 12 p.m. EST where they will face off against the U.S. Coast Guard.
